Youth Activism and Solidarity

This book tells the story of the young people who actively campaigned against apartheid in 1980s via a continuous protest outside the South African Embassy in London. It brings new insights to the interplay between social movements and young people’s lives, exploring how the practices of growing up are entangled with the practices of young people’s activism and solidarity building. It will be of interest to geographers, historians and a wide range of other social scientists concerned with the historical geography of the international anti-apartheid movement, social movement studies, contemporary British history, and young people’s activism and geopolitical agency.
