Electric Utility Resource Planning

People involved in decisions about electric power often have misconceptions regarding how electric utilities operate their systems of power plants and how they plan for the future. This book explains how utilities "work" and how utility planning is (or should be) conducted. It leads readers through an exercise of creating a hypothetical electric utility system of various types of power plants. It shows how those power plants would be operated, then walks the reader through the steps of analyzing new power plants and energy conservation options to determine how the utility’s customers would best be served.
