Photographic and Descriptive Musculoskeletal Atlas of Gorilla

This first photographic Atlas of the Gorilla includes numerous detailed high-quality images of musculoskeletal structures from most anatomical regions of the body along with annotations on the attachments, innervations and weight of reported muscles. Based on original dissections as well as reviews of previously published literature, it provides an updated review of the anatomical variations within gorillas as well as an extensive list of the synonyms used in the literature. Finally, it examines the origin, evolution, and homologies between the muscular structures of gorillas, humans, and other taxa.
