Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Studies of Interfacial Phenomena

This book explores important new NMR spectroscopic methods and describes and compares the application of NMR to a large variety of useful materials with results from other techniques including adsorption, DSC, TSDC, DRS, FTIR, optical microscopy, and small-angle (SAXS) and wide-angle (WAXS) x-ray scattering. It describes NMR for examining interfacial phenomena—such as diffusion, sorption, dissolution, solvation, surface reactions, catalysis, and phase transitions—in objects of increasing complexity, from silicas, nanomaterials, and nanocomposites to biomaterials, cells, tissues, and seeds.
