The Journal of Architectural Education (JAE) has been the primary venue for research and commentary on architectural education since it was founded in 1947. Continuously published since that time by the Association of Collegiate School of Architecture (ACSA), the journal publishes two issues in each volume year (October and March) to include the following:
- Scholarship of Design
- Design as Scholarship
- Op Arch
- Translations
- Transactions
- Interviews
- Reviews
Faculty members at ACSA full-member programs, affiliate members, and supporting members, receive print copies of the journal as part of their membership. The journal is available online via JAEOnline.org, where members may access content.
As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the JAE endorses its “Best Practices” as do its publishers. By submitting one's work for review and publication, all authors attest to, and agree to abide by, the COPE code of ethical conduct.
Peer Review Policy: All non-solicited essays are subject to initial appraisal by the Executive Editor, and, if found appropriate, are subject to double-blind peer review. Identities of both authors and reviewers are not known to each other.
