The Shakespearean World

This book offers global coverage of topics central to Shakespeare studies while also extending critical debate in new directions. Essays situate Shakespeare’s world and what the world is because of him, considering how various disciplines and critical discourses have received, or engaged with, the phenomenon of "Shakespeare." Fields such as education, tourism, media, visual art, and more have been influenced in past and present by Shakespeare, while the reception of the author and his works varies across cultures and history.
