The book is a collection of scientific and technical papers presented at RocDyn-3. The papers reflect the recent developments in experiment, theory and engineering applications of in rock dynamics. The topics in the book are, among others, dynamic theories, numerical simulation, dynamic tests of rock, underground openings under dynamic loading, rockburst, seismic monitoring, dynamic rock support, blasting and rock structure damage by earthquake. Applications, such as rockburst, dynamic rock support and seismic monitoring, are paid special attentions in the conference. The knowledge of dynamic issues in mining and tunnelling is extremely valuable.
