The Return of the Peasant

This title was first published in 2001. The aim of the book is to provide an historical and a bottom up account on the land question following the fall of communist rule. It compares national and local attempts to reform land ownership and agricultural production; in particular, the way in which land law defined the land question and how this was applied in two villages.
